Frequently Asked Questions

Does Lola’s Pet Salon service my area?

We are live in North London—Primrose Hill, Belsize Park, and Hampstead. But we want to bring Lola’s Pet Salon to every dog in London! If we’re not in your area yet, drop us an email at [email protected], and we’ll let you know when Lola’s van is ready to roll your way.

Do you need to plug into my house for water and power?

Absolutely not! Our state-of-the-art, next-generation mobile grooming vans are fully self-sufficient and designed specifically for grooming. We never need to plug into your house for water or power—we have everything we need to pamper your pup. You can simply sit back and relax!

How long does a typical groom take?

Before the first session, we always begin with a consultation to estimate the time needed. Each appointment typically takes between 1 to 3 hours, depending on your dog’s breed, size, and coat condition. Since we prioritize safety and care, some sessions may take longer.

The great news? Our service is far less stressful than traditional salon grooming and is often completed in a fraction of the time. Plus, we’re right outside if you ever want to check in on your pup!

Do you groom all breeds and sizes of dogs?

Yes, we groom dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our experienced groomers are skilled in handling different coat types and grooming styles, ensuring that each dog receives expert, personalized care tailored to their needs and their human’s preferences.

Can you groom in different styles?

Absolutely! At Lola’s nothing is impossible and our groomers can make any request a reality. We listen and adapt to each dog’s needs and every human’s preferences.

Do you handle nervous or senior dogs?

Absolutely. Every experience at Lola’s is bespoke, and our groomers and vans are designed to make the experience stress-free and relaxing for every pup, including the most nervous ones.
Please let us know any specifics ahead of the appointment and we will prepare accordingly.

Will you service my elderly/disabled dog?

We are able to service most elderly & disabled dogs with a few exceptions. Our Groomers are one-on-one with your dog in the van and do not have assistants or helpers. Some elderly dogs may have trouble standing on their own for extended lengths of time. In these cases we recommend a groomer who has an assistant, or a veterinarian who can offer sedated grooming services. We also recommend veterinarian assisted grooming for any dog with a history of seizures. In the best interest and well being of your dog, we will not start any services that we don’t feel confident we can safely complete, or that we feel may put too much stress on your dog. If we are grooming a dog and we believe the service has become too stressful, or any other safety warning present themselves, we will stop the service immediately.

Do you use organic products? Can you use my own products?

Yes, we use 100% organic products! And yes, we will be happy to use the products you provide us with if your dog has a specific skin conditions.

My dog has sensitive skin, do you have a shampoo for that?

Yes! Each vehicle carries an array of specialty products such as a gentle oatmeal sensitive skin shampoo, a de-shed conditioner and a blueberry face wash that are included in each service. Just talk with Lola’s Groomer about what is best for your pup!

Excessive Matting

We may refuse to perform de-matting in cases where it would cause your dog unnecessary pain and suffering. In these instances, we will recommend the best course of action, always considering your preferences and never proceeding without consulting you first.
