How to Groom a English Bulldog at Home

Ah, the English Bulldog—wrinkled majesty on four stout legs. Their coat may be short, but their folds are many and mighty, and they must be kept clean and dry lest mischief take hold. Give them the care they deserve, and your Bulldog shall continue to amble through life with charm, dignity, and delight. — Lola

At-Home Grooming Routine

  • Brushing: Once or twice a week with a rubber brush to remove loose hair and keep their skin healthy.
  • Skin Folds: Gently wipe facial and body folds daily using a vet-approved wipe or soft cloth. Dry thoroughly.
  • Bathing: Every 4–6 weeks with a mild, bulldog-safe shampoo. They often have sensitive skin.
  • Ear & Tail Pocket Care: Clean weekly. Don’t forget to check the tail pocket—a hidden spot prone to buildup.
  • Paw & Nail Care: Trim nails every 2–3 weeks and keep an eye on paw pad hygiene.
